How well would it work and is 1600MHz good enough for a gaming computer with a i7-4770K?

So yes. 1600MHz is just fine, maybe slight OC to 1866 if you feel like it. Anything beyond that is just for benchmarks and other things besides gaming. In fact, according to that chart in that video, if anything gaming actually gets worse with faster speeds.

Those will work fine, though Haswell does well with faster DRAM, I'd look to 1866 or 2133, see here:
