New PC Being Silly

I got a new PC with a i7 and a 660 and it surprised me so much by running Battlefield 4 on ultra and some anti aliasing though I don't know how much. So the point is I got the 660 separately and while waiting I put in my old gpu which could not even do anything other than 4:3, I installed catalyst control center thing for drivers and it did its job though the thing is is when my 660 came I put it in and tried to uninstall my catalyst control center thing but it wouldn't work so I deleted the files and registry after a Iobit uninstaller worked but I didn't do the complete uninstall cause I figured I would only need that if I got a ad-ware toolbar thing. So the programs gone now completely but it appears that the only use 4:3 setting kinda stuck around cause my games boot in 800 by 600 windowed also the top centimeter of my screen is cut off making internet browsing now function correctly. My hypothesis? The catalyst control center just auto installed drivers so the drivers are still there but I have no way of knowing and I guess I'm just not getting good keywords into Google. Also source engine games are being strange for instance on max gmod gets 10 - 20 fps on max while tf2 won't even give me the option for max even though I run a 200 fps easy on medium. Yes the 660 drivers are updated and sorry this post is so long my mind moves so fast the sentences typed end up being poorly worded.

uninstall the card, again and boot into windows and to a driver removal. then restart and install the new card. btw deleting stuff in the registry is very dangerous as one tiny mistake may render your windows unstable. always do safe mode for driver removals if the windows removal does not work

Uninstall the catalyst control center from a 3rd party uninstaller (I prefer Revo uninstaller) and get the new driver from here:

Select your current OS and CPU.
