AMD FX(tm)8350 Heat issue

hi guys


i m having pc automatic restart issue while 3ds max vray rendering.
i think its because of over heat.Temp level while rendering is 70 to 75.
and fan speed is 5700 RPM.so whenver i launch render its go smoothly
even it render half frame also but suddenly its restart.


my pc architecture is


Cabinet Corsair Carbide Series 200R
SMPS Corsair VS550 550 Watt
Processor amdfx8350
M5A99FX Pro R2.0- asus
Graphic card AMD FirePro V4800
2tb Western Digital Sata hdd
Kingston SSDNow V100 64 GB SSD
Ram g skill 16gb(8x2) DDR3 1600

cabinet setup is like

TOP - 2 fan incoming
Rear - 1 outgoing
left door - 1 outgoing
front- 1 incoming

cpu fan - basic fan which come with amd processor.(no leqiud coller)


Please give me the helpfull tips for this

Sorry to say it, you NEED an aftermarket cooler.

It's always a smarter buy to get an fx-8320 + CPU cooler over the 8350 as they both come with the awful CPU cooler that is basically impossible to live with.

Don't bring the chip above 65 degrees that's dangerous.

Yes, there is a big difference. It is not just a fan, it is a complete CPU heatsink and cooling fan set-up. The Hyper 212 Evo can dissipate more than twice the heat that the reference AMD CPU cooler. What you can do is clean the heatsink. Carefully take off the fan from the heatsink and use a toothpick or something similar to get rid of any trapped dust. What you can also do is to change the thermal compound between the CPU and the heatsink, but I think you are not comfortable with that either. Anyway, what you could do is to set up the CPU setting in BIOS to run at a maximum of 3.00 GHz or 3000 MHz. That should dramatically reduce heat, but you also lose performance. Good luck.

ok so if my CPU temp will go 68-70 then what will happen ..actually currently rendering is on and temp is 68.

hey guys,
i came with conclusion that Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Cooler will help ,i ordered this but it will come in a week, so for temporary solution i need to set bios to 3Ghz ..so is there any tuts which will help me to set bios to 3 Ghz .. i tried but didn't found multiplier option. can u guys please help me out.

Its called "CPU ratio" on your mobo. Try that.
