i7 3770k overclocking

Solution
Just so we're clear, is it a case that you CAN go above 4.5Ghz but the temperature is too high, or is it a case that the BIOS WON'T let you set anything above 4.5Ghz?

If it's the former, it's important to know that overclocking is not an exact science. Just because someone achieved more than 4.5Ghz on an H100i, doesn't mean you will. Not all processors (even seemingly identical ones) are created equal. Other factors such as ambient room temperature, case cooling and air flow also play their part. 4.5Ghz is a good overclock for Ivy Bridge processors, which are well known for not managing heat particularly well.

If the BIOS won't let you set anything over 4.5Ghz then you may want to consider flashing it to a later version, if applicable.
