Intel HD 4000 is being used instead of AMD Radeon 7670m 2GB

Hi
I have bought Lenovo G500 i5 Processor with 2 GB graphic card of AMD.
I have installed all the drivers.. including AMD Catalyst.
But when I checked which graphics are being used.. the it says INTEL HD 4000.

I dont knw how to switch over to AMD..

please help me

That is because it saves energy that way you don't need the Radeon chip for general use. You should have a option in Catalyst control center that lets you pick what GPU you want to use for what program. Lenovo also has a program called energy star if you set that to high performance rather than power saver the AMD chip will stay on. Thi thing is if you unplug the laptop and try to use it with the Radeon chip you will get like 30 or 40 min battery life max so it is good to have switchable graphics on a Laptop. As long as the games are playing good don't worry about it
