I bought the AMD FX 8320 and I want to overclock it to 4,0ghz so it renders faster and doesn't bottleneck my future 280x crossfire. So I need a good cooler that doesn't let the cpu go up more than 60/65º on full stress. Even at 3,5ghz it goes up to 60º with the stock cooler when rendering.

Everyone recommends the Hyper 212 EVO but will it do the job(and fit my cheapass case)?

I want to use right away, I will change it later for a Carbide Series 300R windowed or an Aerocool X-Predator X3. Or do you recommend me to change my case right now?

Thanks in advance =3 Opinions please

Hyper EVO is the cheapest and best BUDGET heatsink. Doesn't mean its best. Get a Noctua or Phanteks if you want a better one. I think 'be quiet!' is supposed to cool well also. Anyway, check reviews.

If the heatsink fits? Get out a ruler and check for yourself. Minimum needed for a Noctua is 16 cm. From motherboard to casedoor. Same is true for most modern heatsink/fan-combos.

Yeah it will not fit, because it has fans on the sidedoor. I will wait some months and buy the new case with the Noctua. Which of the cases do you recommend?

Carbide Series 300R windowed+lots of led fans muehehehe

Well, I'm using a Hyper 212 EVO right now with MX2 paste and a push/pull fan config.. I am also at a 4.5GHz overclock and in prime95 on blend test I am always around 58-60'c... so for that OC a Hyper 212 will be fine
