So can i buy the ASUS M5A97 R2.0 for my amd fx 6350 and be sour it will work ?

I have both actually, my 6350 overclocked to 4.3Ghz. Works a charm mate :) .

get an fx-6300 or fx-8320, ignore the 6350. not worth the cost difference over 6300.

these parts will all work together, that mobo can fit fx-8320 fx-6300 or fx-6350.

And no, eight cores are useless right now, even six cores are pretty useless. But OP get the 6300 if you're on a budget, don't get any of the eight cores, they can't run as hot as the six cores.

Do you even know what you're talking about?

All FX processors be it 4,6 or 8 cores. Run at the SAME max temperature of 62-65C safe, any higher and unsafe.

The only issue with buying an fx-8 processor is you need an aftermarket cooler.

Sure programs don't use 8cores but why is it that the FX-8320 beats the fx-6300 in gaming then?

I don't see why you're bashing the 8320, The fact of the matter is the FX-6300/50 competes with i3's and the 8320/50 compete with i5's
