I'm a noob when it comes to power supplies and its connectors and such. I got a new motherboard and graphics card and installed it. My power supply is a 2 year old 600 watt thermal take. The Gtx 780 requires 2 8 pin pci connectors which my psu doesnt have. It haves 2 6 pin conectors. But the graphics card came with 2 8 pin connectors that use 2 4 pin connectors each. So i used those. My mother board is a gigabyte z77 ds3h. Well basically my pc wont power on and im thinking its a power supply problem?

Solution
Your thermaltake is not a good quality unit. DO NOT use those adapters. You are going to WAY overdraw the line and fry everything.

Get a new PSU. Corsair (not CX, CS, RM), XFX, Antec, Seasonic ONLY.

Also, when you get a new motherboard you will need to reinstall windows.
