Hello,
I'm running a Dell Inspiron 5050N (laptop) I recently ungraded the RAM from 6gbs (4 and 2) To 8gbs (4 and 4) And my computer is now slower? Can anyone help please? The 2gbs i took out were hynix 1Rx8 PC3-10600S-9-11-B2 HMT325S6CFR8C-H9 N0 AA and i put in Crucial 4GB DDR3 PC3 -12800 SODIMM 1.35V 204-PIN Thanks to anyone who can help!

You always want to run matching sticks of RAM. I have even read on some manufacturers pages that you shouldn't even run identical sticks of RAM that did not come in the same kit. They claimed that sticks of RAM that come in the same kit are synchronized. If what the manufacturers say is true, running RAM of different types/speeds would DEFINITELY cause performance problems.

Actually they test the sets in combos to ensure all in a given package will play together, you could pull say 10 straight off the production line and not find 4 that will all play nice, this is also why the larger sets of 3-4-6 and 8 sticks sets cost more than say 2 sets of the same sticks (i.e. 2 sets of 2 vs a more expensive set of 4 sticks), takes more time to test in larger quantities

hmmm, that's interesting! When i turn on my laptop, it usually take like 4 mins to load up Google Chrome. When i had 6gbs of ram it would take 30's. At the moment i have used Razor Game Booster to get back to the preformance i had before. Also my fan is now being used a lot, even when idle, It get's super hot!
