nvidia 9500GT vs ATI x1950 GT

i recently bought a semi- used computer (long story) which contains an i7 @2.66 GHZ , 4GB RAM and an ATi x1950 . in my old pc i used to have a 9500GT . should i replace the new ATI with my old nvidia or it is better to keep the x1950

The cards are roughly equal.
But if you upgrade with a modern card you can really boost the gaming performance, the I7 even from the first generation (is it i7-920?) is quite powerful CPU.

read this and select depending on the budget and the prices in your country (greece?)

You have to check also what is the power supply wattage, so that it can handle the new card power requirements - new video cards use quite a lot of power.

If you keep the old cards - they are equally good.
If you decide to upgrade - try to get GTX 750 ot 750TI - they will be much more powerful from 9500GT or x1950 and will work fine with 400w power supply.

An I7 deserves better than to be paired with those ancient cards

Even a low end modern card is much faster than both
