I'll make this short and sweet for you all:
Problem: Just installed RAM that came in the mail. Pop it in, see the 15.9gb usable in system properties. Check resource monitor, 103mb are reserved for Hardware. This wasn't the case before with my 4x4gb 1333mhz RAM (mixed brand might I add)
Set the timings to 9-9-9-24 as per box instructions, set the voltage manually to 1.5, all before starting windows.
"Patriot Viper 3" DDR3, 2x8gb, 1600mhz 9-9-9-24,1.5v
Mobo: ASUS Sabertooth 990fx R2.0
CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: GTX 660 EVGA SC'd
Power: LSP 750watt
OS: Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit (Installed December 2013)
Stuff I've already done:
Set Read to Read time to 5
Set Command Rate to 2T
Set CPU/NB manual voltage at 1.2
Memory Hole Remapping Enabled
Sooooo, any ideas as to what I should do? I hear the system sometimes just reserves memory like that but usually only for IGPU's. This hasn't happened before on this setup (like I said, had 4x4gb 1333mhz and didn't have any memory labeled "Hardware Reserved")
