Please help...I am at my wits end with this machine. It was brought to me a week ago; it would not boot up or send a signal/show display. I have replaced the motherboard (Acer G45T/G43TAM3 v1.1) and the cpu (Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 LGA775 CPU). Now I can hear it trying to boot up, but it never gets to POST or shows any display. I have the same outcome if I try without any RAM. Any ideas are greatly appreciated...

on the mb is the 4 pin power plug near the cpu connected??? is there a gpu plugged into the mb or are you trying to use onboard?? if there an aftermarket gpu pull it and see if the onboard video turns on. if there no video try clearing the cmos and checking that the cmos and reset switch on the right pins and not pushed in.

yes, the 4 pin power plug near the cpu is connected; they are using an onboard gpu and cmos has been reset
