Is there any difference between these monitors?

Here are two monitors that are basically the same when scanning through the specs.
However one is rated to be around 50% more expensive, why is this?

I am purchasing a montior for my new gaming PC and i play a lot of Counter Strike. I want it to be 1080p but am not sure if contrast ratio or other specifications really affect the visual display.
If someone could give me a link to a decent monitor or explain to me what i am getting for the extra money then that would be appreciated.

Thankyou.

They offer pretty much the same features. The price difference comes down to the ASUS Brand being a premium name vs. BenQ who are newer (but I've heard good things about them - specifically price to performance/reliability).

The Asus is slightly brighter (300cd/m2 vs. 250 for the BenQ) and has more on-screen customization options (can be handy if you are picky or trying to match a different screen for dual monitor setup)

No offense but I wouldn't call £30 50% of £130. Also it seems they are both on sale (Asus-139, down from 169 vs. BenQ-116, down from 132).

Really either one of those will be good for your purposes
