Would it be best to get an AMD Radeon GPU because I have an AMD CPU and I use Radeon memory?

The side of the processor's package says "Combine this processor with AMD Radeon HD Graphics ... to enjoy the ultimate HD experience ..." And there are some other things in there.

Is this true? Or will Geforce work just fine?

Solution
The side of the package says that because the same company makes both. There is no advantage or disadvantage to mixing CPU/GPU brands. Find the best card in your price range.

"The side of the processor's package says "Combine this processor with AMD Radeon HD Graphics ... to enjoy the ultimate HD experience ..." And there are some other things in there." Its called marketing. Of course AMD wants you to buy their gpu, but you don't have too. A Nvidia card will work just fine with an AMD cpu.

It doesnt matter at all if u mix nividia with amd cpu or intel or whatever gpu/cpu, experience and performance will be the same. It's amd's marking, ofc they want u to use all of their products.

No...that's just marketing. Any GPU will work great with any CPU, regardless of brands.

I love AMD so I'd pair an AMD GPU with CPU, but that's just me and that's not for any performance benefit :) Have fun!

You can choice any Video Card you don't have to choice AMD over NVidia they will run the same way if they are comparable cards. I myself use AMD video cards.

Before mantle, the general rule was that Nvidia and Radeon GPUs worked good with AMD, and even better with Intel.

With mantle, if you have a low end CPU, AMD's Mantle will help with that if you have an overly powerful card matched with a slow processor.

But if say you're using an OC'd 8320/8350, then it really won't matter all too much in what you choose.
