I bought a XFX R9 280X Boost edition today and have been trying it out in a few game with the average temperatures being between 60 and 75C (depending on the game).

Game i have tried:

DayZ (standalone)
Sniper Elite Nazi Zombie Army 2
BO2 zombies

I have only been able to try these as still waiting for others to download. Is my GPU running higher than normal or is this the average temperatures for a 280x?

System specs (if needed):

Case - Aerocool Dead Silence (cube case)
Motherboard - MSI Z87M-G43
CPU : i5 4670k w/ stock cooler (going be buying after market cooler soon)
PSU : Corsair CX600w
RAM : 8GB Corsair vengance (dual channel)
GPU : XFX R9 280X Boost edition
Hard-drive : 1TB WD Caviar green
Fans : 1 front 140mm (intake), 1 read 120mm (exhaust)

Solution
Your temps are fine for that particular card. They are known to run on the hot side. Just be glad you didn't go with the reference model, which can reach temps around 85 C+!
