As stated in the title, I have an Asus M2N68-LA motherboard and I understand that it supports any PCIe x16 video card. I understand that means any PCIe 2.0 x16 video card and any PCIe 3.0 x16 video card will function on my PC, but I am afraid of bottlenecking my system with a video card that is too good. This computer is around the 10-year-old mark so I understnad that means I need to keep my search toward the more low end video cards, but I don't know how low. I don't know if I should just look at PCIe 2.0 x16 video cards, or consider a PCIe 3.0 x16 video card.

Basically my question is: would somebody please provide me with a list of video cards that are compatible wth my system and possibly provide their oinion on which are the best deal for performance, cost, and best compatibility for my system (no bottlenecking)?

UPDATE! I have an AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 4600+ 2.4GHz and 3.00 GB of ram. The mother board suports dual channel so the ram is in two sticks of 512 MB each and two sticks of 1GB each. Obviously the motherboard has integrated Nvidia Graphics, but I have an ATI Radeon 2400 Pro video card installed. This PC was bought factory with the AMD Processor and integrated Nvidia Graphics. I am confused on why HP would do that or if I am ok for getting either an Nvidia or AMD video card.
