Worth water cooling a 965?

So I have some extra cash now, and was looking into the H100i for my Phenom II.
My questions are, is it worth it, and will it fit in the Carbide 300r

yes I believe your 300R can fit the radiator at the top

and it should be worth it, after all it's a component that can be reused after you upgrade right?

I won't really recommend water-cooling a Phenom. Get a CM Hyper 212 EVO and you should be good.

Wouldn't bother putting a higher end cooler on a 965 either. I agree with nuclear101.

I have the EVO but its a large feature straight in the middle of the 300r window. Ill have to think about it (Will likely upgrade to an 8320 later anyway)
This PC is a sort of show PC for me. Its my senior project and needs to look flashy and neat (cable management and lighting so far)
Probably will get the FX first.

Well I ended up getting the H100i on sale, as well as intentions to upgrade my cpu later so it was good enough for me. I am not here to discuss the purchase of it now (I know its not the best investment)
Im here to issue a warning that the radiator fits in the case if the optical drive is moved to the bottom slot, but with fans IT WONT fit. The fans hit the CPU power and ram, and cover the fan headers. So I have the fans on the outside of the case, because it dosent worry me, and will be covering it soon. That or slimline fans.
