What do you think would be the most effective way on placing my fans? I currently have a 200mm in the front as an intake and a 140mm in the rear top as an intake.

I plan to use the top mounts as well, but help me reconfigure the fan's airflow!

I'm using an 8320 with 212 Evo

i would do rear and top as exhaust and front intake=good airflow,

Mmm, that sounds bad..

Wouldn't I want some air blowing towards the Evo?

if you have fans blowing in from both sides it will create a bad airflow. you need a good in out configuration. the front fan would draw air in the air would be drawn in a constant stream up and out flowing over the 212 evo. and anyway an evo has an exhaust fan on it if you put the top fan pushing air in your case it will push the heat down into case and feeding it into your gpu intakes, that is not a good idea.

Bad Kitty is right. You need to keep the air moving through the chassis. The reason you find the vents on top is to aid in the natural process of convection (heat rises). So you put cold air in the front and as it warms it rises and the fans up top and in the back help pull it out.

Reversing the airflow up top only causes everything to get stuck in the chassis and heat to build up.

My Evo and GPU fans are intakes, right?

Right now I have:
Front - 200mm intake
Rear Top - 140mm exhaust
Top - 2x120mm intake

your evo fan is an exhausts the gpu fans are intakes

They aren't really either, they blow air from the inside of the case onto a heatsink. So those fans aren't intaking cool air or exhausting hot air. They're recirculating the air in the chassis.

Instead of 2x 120mm fans at the top, should I install a 200mm instead?

2 x 120 should be fine for exhaust. if you do go with the 200mm make sure you get from nzxt because the fan mounts are only universal up to 140mm and after that there is compatible issues with other companies fans with phantom cases

Wouldn't the 200 be quieter and have greater airflow? I have a spare 200 from NZXT.

every fan is different and has its own airflow rating(cfm) and its own noise leve. sometimes 2 120mm fans can create more airflow. are you having overheating issues or high temps, if you already have 2 120 in there i would leave it alone if you only have 1 120 in there i would put the 200 in there since you already have it

My set up is going to consist of 140 mm rear as exhaust and 2x top 120 mm as exhaust. Intake shall be from the 200 mm on the front, 140 mm on the side with another 140 mm in the middle.

I wouldn't want to put the top fans as intakes myself as due to what has been pointed out. 'It'll push the heat back down onto your CPU heatsink'

This should help with keeping temperatures down

Much luck on your configuration.
