my mobiles wifi can't connet with my pc wifi hotspot

i have a windows 8.1 pc with internet from Ethernet & a android mobile with wifi. when i turn on the connectify hotspot from my computer and try to connect it from my mobile it says authentication problem. password is correct, signal strength is excellent. other devices like my friends mobiles, computers can connect to it. and my mobile also connects with other computers except mine. i have tried most of the solutions like uninstalling the software and again installing, using another software, and even i have formatted my laptop and my mobile. but nothing happens... it constantly says authenticating..... and authentication problem. plz give me a solution.

Try using a different security setting for WiFi, your phone may not be compatible with all standards. Also check for an update for the phone if you have not already.

You'll be more secure getting a wireless router than running the PC directly to the modem and using the PC to share the connection. It's also more stable and you won't need to have the computer on all the time.
