I wanted gigabyte ga z87x ud3h mobo for my build with i5 4670k . But that mobo only support 2 way sli.
So i wanted to know how many way sli (3way or 4way) can be supported by i5 4670k without any bottleneck. I would use gtx 780ti for sli. Depending on how many way sli can be supported by i5 4670 i would buy mobo (3 way or 4way sli supported). Please help me. thank you in advance.

if you want to do SLI with that many (high-end)GPUs you better use the 2011 socket (i.e i7 4930k). they are much better suited for this, and have less bottlenecking.

it can support up to 4 way. given that you mobo supports it :)

^yep, it depends more on the board. but of course, with that number of gpu, it's better to do some research to avoid bottleneck. as one said, it might be better to go i7 for this setup

Thanks everybody.
But i have already bought the i5 4670k . So i have to choose the mobo (3way or 4way) only. On this regard please tell me i5 4670 supports how many way sli(2 or 3 or 4 way) without bottleneck, so i could choose the mobo(2 or 3 or 4 way). Thank you in advance.

I5 4670k has 16 pcie lane which can be configured as 1x16 or 2x8 for pcie3 standard. So only 2 way sli can be happend by 2x8 pcie3 lane.
so i wanted to know is there any feature in any mobo to configure 2 way sli in 2x16 lane and 3 way sli in 3x8 lane and 4 way sli in 4x8 lane though the cpu has only 16 lane? All those pcie lanes have to be pcie 3 standard.
So actually i wanted to know is there any mobo which can provide 32 pcie3 lanes where the cpu (LGA1150) has only 16 pcie3 lanes.

No, not with LGA 1150.

is it worth it to go 3 way (or even 4)? and a 780 at that. i mean, how much gain would you have?
