Good day tom's community.. i'm a bit noob regarding video card's performance/compatibility so i hope you can educate me. Thanks :)

My rig is an HP Pavilion series with the ff specs:

Mobo : MSI 2a9c

Procie : i3 3220 @3200ghz

RAM : 2x2gb Gskill Ripjaws CL7 1333mhz ( planning to add 4gb more )

Display : HP LED 21inch 1600x900 reso

PSU : Bestec 250w ( Will upgrade to Seasonic 520w 80plus bronze Modular )

VGA : ATI Radeon HD5450 512mb 64bit ( yah i know its a bad card )

My budget for new VGA ranges from 100$ to 180$

Now my questions are:
1. Will my motherboard support GDDR5 gen. vid cards?

for video editing, go with the gtx 750Ti. and if your mobo has a pcie x16 slot, the card will work. and you will need to upgrade your psu before you get the graphics card.

My 6850 which i bought for 60 bucks can beat the 750ti hands down. I suggest go with R7 270 :)

I will be surprised if can get an r7 270 for less than 180. I would recommend gtx 750ti at your price range. 20 dollars more could get you gtx 660 and amd 7870 . When I video edit, my ram and cpu get harassed pretty hard. I would recommend no less than an i5 processor and 16 gb ram if you can.

Yes your board will be good, and the R9 270 is the best in those cards, however, your PSU will not be enough, and I've had the case you have, and a full GPU just BARELY fits and you won't be able to close your case because of the PSU wires connected to it. Sorry..

nvidia beats amd with videoediting cuz of the cuda cores. and there is no way you will find a new 6850 for $60.

What do you mean by FULL GPU ?

I am going to buy a modular 520w psu so i can manage the wires efficiently.

he means a standard size bracket, but you can get a low-profile bracket, in fact, most graphics cards come with one. and can you give us the brand and model of your case?
