I was recently having a problem with my router disconnecting from the modem every other day or so and having to unplug them both to reset them. The modem would still have internet, as I could connect to it with an ethernet cable, but the router would just act like it's not connected and have to be restarted. I went in and changed the settings so it would use a given DNS, that solved the router disconnecting problem, but now I have a problem where the internet will just freeze every 5 or so minutes and halt all activity, and then give it a minute or 2 and refresh all pages, and everything is fine. It's just really tedious and I wanted to know if I caused this, and if there is a way around both of these things. Thanks in advance.
