first build and already over budget! was originally only going to spend $1000, can any one give me some help with my build. The goal is to make two of these, one for my husband and another for myself.

Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP

Budget Range: $1000 but may go to $1200 per PC (need 2 built 2k-2.4k total)

Primary use will be gaming, web surfing and CAD.

No monitors, keyboards or mice needed

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: (e.g.: newegg.com, ncix.com -- to show us selection & pricing)

Location: TX

Parts Preferences: leaning Intel but could be persuaded

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Really need to upgrade from our nearly decade old PCs!(i plan on reusing them to learn Linux)

here is my build as it is over budget:

I may just eat the cost of the extra $400 for both if it extremely justifiable.

Many thanks
