I have a 2 port USB 3.0 PCI e card that I want to install but my 2nd PCI e slot is blocked by my video card. Can I use my PCI slot? Thanks in advance for the help guys.......

Nevermind ...after actually looking at it, the card will not even fit in a standard PCI slot

Solution
Any PCI Express card will work in a PCI Express slot with the same or more lanes available. You can put a PCI Express x1 card in a PCI Express x16 slot if you wanted to. The only difference would be the length of the slot, with more lanes necessitating a longer slot.

PCI Express cards are not compatible with Conventional PCI slots. As a result, the Conventional PCI slot is taller and positioned differently on the motherboard to help prevent confusion.

Well theoretically yes. What motherboard do you have? Do you mean that your regular PCI slot is blocked by your GPU and you want to use your second PCI x16 slot? I'm not 100% sure what you mean. If you want to use a video card slot, the card will not fit right up to the side of the case, because PCI x16 slots are positioned differently. For that reason, it would not work. If that is what you are wanting to do.
