Hello all, new here and would like some insight. I just built a pc running the amd 6300 6 core proccessor, 8 gigs ddr3, evga 2gig geforce 750 ti.

After a bum powersupply I was able to do somegaminf. If anyones wondering the gpu is fantastic. I was shocked i could run day z on max...... anyway.
I used artic paste and the stock cooler, according to cpuid my temps run 15 - 20c idle and the max while gaming was 57c with an av. Of 47-50 on max. Does this sound ok ? (Yes ive read up on it, im just worried due to it being AMD)

Also what are the advantages to overclocking, it seems fast enough to me.... thanks in advance,

You basically get slightly better performance but use more power and it runs hotter. Don't overclock unless you have an aftermarket cooler. I personally wouldn't recommend it if you're satisfied with the performance you have already.

Daily User setup, that stands up to evening gaming very well. AMD warns over 63degC--this held steady at 57decC thru Prime95-Level7 Self Test (~18 minutes), and runs HAWKEN (UT3 engine) in Ultra w/PhysEx on a XFX7750 gpu the stock OEM cpu fan barely kicking in, CineBench 4.59pts/63.9fps:
Mobo: Asrock 970Pro3
CPU: AMD-6300 six core
FSB: Manual
OD: Manual
Cpu freq: 182
PCIE freq: 100
AMD Turbo: Disabled
APM: Enabled
Cpu freq Multi: x22.0 4004Mhz
Cpu NB: 1.2125v
HT freq Multi: x10.0 1820Mhz

HT Bus Width: 16bit
NB Voltage: 1.20v
All others: Auto

Luck! YMMV... ;)
