Hi guys, Im planning on building a gaming pc . Im a college student in India, and as such, I think the prices might be more here.
Ive more or less decided on a r9 280x as the gpu.
http://www.flipkart.com/sapphire-amd-ati-radeon-r9-280x-3-gb-ddr5-graphics-card/p/itmdrubpf9bchtfz?pid=GRCDRUBPF9BCHTFZ
price: 24k

Il probably be using flipkart.com for all the components.

Thats pretty much all im sure of.
I need help deciding the mobo and cpu and all the other parts.
My budget is rs60000 for the entire system including peripherals.
I like to play games maxed out completely at 1080p ATLEAST, for the next 2 to 3 years.Im pretty sure the 280x will be able to handle that.
concerns: cpu bottleneck,

Id really appreciate any help possible, im a complete novice at all other computer parts except gpu. I can assemble it on my own

Solution
okay, this is FX 6300 build for your reference :) good luck
be careful with the mobo, do not change the brand or the model. it is the minimum requirement to run FX 6300 properly
change the gpu to 280X if you can afford it

:( the prices are a bit higher here, for example, the i5 is around 270$ here. This build overshoots my budget by about 200$ (i need to include the monitor too).
Do you think an amd cpu might be enough not to bottleneck the gpu, for example the 6300fx or the 8320?
thats around 5-8k cheaper than the i5 here.
Thanks a lot for your reply

here is a compilation from flipkart.
Power Supply: Corsair VS650 650 Watt PSU rs 4100
CPU:Intel 3.1 GHz LGA 1150 i5 4440 4th Generation Processor Rs 12826
Video Card:ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 AMP Edition 2 GB Rs 20,700 or Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon R9 270X with Boost OC 4 GB DDR5 Rs 18,000
Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Pro4 Motherboard Rs 11,520
RAM: G.Skill Sniper DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) Rs 6300
Cabinet:Cooler Master K281 Mid Tower Cabinet Rs 3,200
Monitor:BenQ L2023A 19.5 inch LED Backlit LCD Monitor rs 5849
Mouse, speakers, keyboard: Rs 1000(any company will do)

Total = Rs 65,495(nvidia gpu) ,Rs 62799(amd gpu)

I seem to have overshot your budget by a bit but you could go for Gigabyte H87M-D3H Motherboard (Rs 7289) to bring things under 60,000 ,although i would recommend z87 motherboard.
Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon R9 280X 3 GB DDR5 is around Rs 24,500 on flipkart . to incorporate that you will have to cut out on ram to 4gb as well as cut out on the motherboard. a r9 270x should serve your needs. please specify if you would like to overclock or run SLI/crossfire in the future.

Hope my solution helps. Happy gaming!:d

Use the following GPU and Processor. It is much more cost effective in Indian market. It will really help your budget. The rest of the components are upto your choice:

Processor: AMD FX 6300(Below Rs.9000)
GPU: Nvidia GTX 960(Around Rs.17,000)
With 8gb RAM and a decent AsRock motherboard you can play all modern games like; GTA V, Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Far Cry 4, Arkham Knight on max settings in 1080p.
