Hi guys,

So I spilled a beer in my laptop, pretty much a full beer, there was crackling and popping. I let it dry out for a couple of days. When I turned it back on it worked, to a degree, but keys had changed places, i.e. A became B, B became C,etc. So I took it apart and cleaned with a small brush and water. Then I got nothing, wouldn't even power up. That was a few weeks ago.

I just turned it on and I'm getting power and the fan going, so think it could maybe be the gfx fried... dunno. I would have no idea how to fix that so the boards for the bin I think.

Anyway the laptop is a G6-2252sa product number C1Y87EA. I cannot for the life of me find the part number of the board. It's not on the laptop. Nothing is coming up on part finder and any google search I can possibly think of, with the information I have, is coming up with nothing, except buy a new laptop ofc.:??:

Would any of you knowingly folk have any idea what I could do? I had it for about 3 months and the warranty doesn't cover water damage, bit sickening. I've uploaded some photos of the board in case there's anything I'm missing.

Cheers for any advice, or at least getting to the end of this dull post :D

Hope these don't show too big...

sorry to say, you are going to have minimal luck or no luck in fixing this, it is best to get a new laptop. Since a beer has been spilt over your laptop, fixing one thing isn't going to fix the whole machine, there are going to be heaps of issues as laptops were never designed to be water/beer proof, and liquid doesn't mix with electrical appliances, your laptop will be in a bad state, a very bad state and it is going to be impossible to get it working normal or close to unless you replace most of the parts in your machine.

Really sorry, but nothing can be done.
