GPU/PSU upgrade question

Hello, I am currently hoping to upgrade my video card to let my computer perform at or hopefully slightly above PS4 level gaming for the next several years. I asked around on this board before and between the answer I received and my own research I'm thinking I really want to try a GTX 760.

Here is my computer:
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE
GPU: Radeon HD 5770
PSU: Xion XON-700P12N
4 GB RAM

As you can see, my power supply isn't as good as I was hoping it was when I bought the computer. Unfortunately my knowledge at the time wasn't very high, but I'm learning more the more I read this site and others. I'm hoping if I get something like a Corsair CX600 I'll be able to just plug it in, plug in the 760, install NVidia's drivers and get to it with no hassle.

My hope for gaming is to play everything big for the next few years on high to ultra settings with a minimum 30 fps. My fear is that even with replacing the power supply my CPU might not let me achieve this. I do not have to have every single option enabled in the graphics panel (for instance, I've used minimum shadows for years on almost every game I know). But I'm hoping I can play new games for the next couple of years at least before having to start to scale back options considerably.

The only multiplayer gaming I get involved with is WoW on occasion, so loading issues for MP games generally aren't an issue for me. I mostly play single player games and just want them to be as gorgeous as possible to delay getting a PS4 for quite a few years.

So will these 2 parts work? Is my system too archaic and on its way out the door? This computer has been humming for me since I got it back in '10, so if I can keep that up I really want to.

Thank you for any answers.

Solution
It should work fine. Your cpu isn't that bad (see benchmark score vs the heralded i5-4670k):
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Phenom+II+X4+955&id=368
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i5-4670K+%40+3.40GHz&id=1921
4018 vs 7810 is about half the benchmark score but as bad as that sounds it's not like you're asking us if you can run a cpu with a sub 1000 benchmark score to go at these games.
This said, I don't know how many "years" it will be able to sustain min 30fps. The GTX 760 is a very good card. What's good about your approach is within a couple of years you can most likely upgrade the mobo and cpu only with getting this gpu and psu now and just transfer the 760 and corsair psu to that new setup then...

For the most part you'll be able to enjoy most games at decent or even "very high" settings but just not maxed out without giving up some fps.

Solution
Yes. I think 760 will be ps4 in preformance by noticeable margin. Should only need to buy the card and you should be all set. The 760 will be a good card and should most games on high for 2 to 3 years. As for playing Wow on it. I would say you should be able to get 60 frames on Ultra with this card. Your processor should probably get an upgrade eventually to 1100t which is the best you can get without switching Motherboards. Your current processor while not bad, should bottleneck 760 when preforming at its best. Nothing too severe, but at least some in cpu intensive games.
