Looking to upgrade AMD Radeon HD 5770

Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my Radeon hd 5770 for a more current graphics card for around $300.
I'd love it if some of you could give me some help as good with PC hardware, however i am a hardcore gamer and play a *lot* of games.
It needs to have 2 display ports for my duel monitors.

My motherboard is the "ASUSTeK M5A78L-M LX"
My CPU is AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Processor (6 CPU's, 2.8ghz)
I have 8GB of RAM.
I'm not sure about my power supply (I have no clue how to check it)

Thanks.

  1. I'm thinking either save down 50 bucks from the initial 300 and get a gtx 760 or go over your budget and get a gtx 770
  2. I would say get gtx 760 at $250. It will be the best card for less then $300. For $40 more you can get a gtx 770.

Would this fit in my motherboard? http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperClocked-Dual-Link-Graphics-02G-P4-2765-KR/dp/B00DHW4HXY/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1394179986&sr=1-1&keywords=gtx+760
Also, would the power supply be a problem upgrading from the 5770 to the gtx 760?

Yes, it fits in 16x port of your Motherboard. As long as you have 500w psu, you shouldn't have any problems. This is the version, I recommend:
