Hi,

I bought a MSI GTX770 TF Gaming a few weeks ago, and installed it in my rig, consisting of:

CPU: I5-2500K
Mobo: Asus Sabertooth P67
PSU: Corsair TX750
Ram: 8GB Corsair Vengeance
and then the new GTX770

I started having problems getting a picture when booting - it started out as a minor issue, where I sometimes had to reboot once to get a picture.. however, the problem grew worse, and in the end I had to reboot maybe 10-20 times, and sometimes simply give up.. I tried different things, such as a BIOS update, booting with only 1 ram and 0 ram etc etc. - It would work fine with my old GTX460.. So, I got the card RMA'ed, and they gave me a new card, so I figured everything was fine..

Then my computer wouldnt boot AT ALL a morning... I figured... FML :)

I tried clearing the CMOS, and then the computer booted... Odd, but I guess things were fine - I went to a LAN-party and things worked fine for 12h or so - I shut my rig down and brought it home..

The next day I tried to turn it on, but once again nothing happened at all - no fans and no nothing... I tried to clear the CMOS again.. Now, I have the annoying "No Signal" when trying to boot, with both the 770 and the 460...
I tried to change the CMOS battery (desperation) but it still wont boot...

SO... Does anyone have a clue what might be wrong with things? :-/

Sorry about the wall of text...

EDIT: Also worth mentioning - when the screen did get a signal, it would run perfectly for any amount of time - I have never had a problem once things were started up...

Anyone have ideas as to how I can narrow down the troubleshooting? Is it the mobo, cpu, psu?

checked and triple checked - When you say 4-pin, you mean the cord going to the Mobo I guess? The thing is, after a CMOS clear, fans and everything's spinning, but nothing else is happening :-(

I cant see anything, so hard to see if the bios is selecting anything ;)

I dont have any onboard video output (Sabertooth P67) so I cant even check anything that way..
I DO have some nifty little LED's that blink on the mobo when booting.. I get a blink for RAM a blink for CPU, and then no more blinks... So it seems like its not seeing anything at the PCI-e port..
(EDIT: Or maybe the PCI-e LED isnt supposed to blink, I have no clue)
But no picture, so cant see what gets started, if anything

Honestly man i'm having the same issues. i got the GTX 770 from MSI and same exact issues, i can't seem to be able to get any form of signal on to the monitor. Everywhere i have looked though it seems that people have fixed this issue by messing with the BIOS and like you, i can't do that because my current motherboard doesn't have a video port to begin with... so frustrating. i think i'm going to have to return the motherboard and get myself a new one that does have in built video port so that i can't change the freaking bios so that it can accept the graphics card. I just assembled it and all that jazz so i haven't even gotten a chance to install Windows yet. but yeah i think that's our only solution man. ama take a look at the motherboard booklet to see if there is some last resort or something because i don't want to deal with the whole thermal paste and putting in the fan again (if that's even possible again). Sigh. good luck

A friendly tech shop tested my mobo and cpu in different setups, and he could locate the flaw to being the mobo... So i bought a new z87 and a 4670, and its running like a dream... Most likely some bios crap as you said.. im gonna send my old mobo to asus and see if they want to fix it on the warranty - guess I can always try to sell it :)

I solved my issue turns out that the cpu wasn't placed correctly. I got an amd and I guess when I put it on the mobo I am supposed to drop it in and then press it into place. I figured it out because I was returning the motherboard and as I was taking off the fan the cpu came off with it. Some of the pins had bent but I fixed it with a credit card and a pin. But yeah try that and I hope it heps.
