I'm planning to buy a HD 7750 graphics card. My power supply is 450W and has a 4-pin connector instead of a 6-pin one. So my question is does the graphics card come with a 4 pin to 6 pin connector or should I buy one separately ?

Regards,
Madan

the answer is that you should buy a new power supply. The 4 pin connector is not intended to supply 75 watts to a graphics card. If such a connector exists, you have a good chance of damaging the card and / or the power supply.

What model of power supply is it? I'll take a look at the specs.

It's a Mercury ATX 450W power supply. Else please suggest a compatible graphics card. I don't want to invest in the power supply as I think 450W should be good enough for the HD 7750.

Okay, does it come along with the card?

They do sometimes.

You could look at the GTX 750, that doesnt require any PSU connections and performs better.

Ok, then I guess there's no need to connect it to the power supply, is it?
