Hi there, I'm looking to build my own pc in the near future hear and I have kind of a dumb question about Motherboads. I am looking online at various mobo's and a bunch of them say 4-way crossfire/sli support... but in the pictures I only see 3 PCI-e slots. Am I missing something here? Is there another way to hook up 4-way that I don't know about? I know i'll probably never need 4-way, but I also like being prepared... Thanks!

There are some motherboards that have 4 PCI Express slots. LGA2011 motherboards are capable of 4-way crossfire/sli support. LGA 1150,1155, AND 1156 are only capable of 3-way crossfire/sli support (with a few exceptions containing nForce 200 chipsets ).

* The PCIEX8_1 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX16_1 slot and the PCIEX8_2 slot with PCIEX16_2. The PCIEX16_1/PCIEX16_2 slot will operate at up to x8 mode when the PCIEX8_1/PCIEX8_2 is populated.
(The PCIEX16 and PCIEX8 slots conform to PCI Express 3.0 standard.)
