Hello everyone I am trying to decide on a pair of headphones to buy. I have a big head so I need a pair that'll fit over and fit my ears inside them. I would like a comfortable pair that gets great sound quality and is nice to wear for long sessions. I have checked out the Skullcandy Hesh 2, but they don't seem big enough and it soundd like they won't last long. I have also checked out the Audio technica m30x, and they seem like a good pair. My favorite choice is the Rosewill Sonas headphonrs with octa drive sound, but I am discouraged by the lack of reviews and information on Rosewill. I am open to suggestions and I would like to state that I live in California and that I'm willing to buy online from Newegg & amazon.

I have the audio-technica ATH-M30. They sound just as good as any other headset I've used (even better than the $$$ Beats headphones), and they're super comfortable. You can get it for $50 from newegg.

QC15 Bose. Many professionals in the film and game industry in my personal contact experience will swear by these :p . It's easily a top 5 head phone for price and sound quality. It comes with a microphone on the cord too for meetings etc. :) . Oh my bad, thread title cut off, didn't see less than $80 my bad :(

My current headset is the Plantronics 780 ($60 on amazon and newegg, but on newegg it comes with Orcs Must Die 2 free). I would highly recommend them for you. They are around ear, and I find them very comfortable. The first time I used them I felt they were a bit tight (I have a large head) but I have since gotten used to them and have worn them for 6+ hours on many occasions. Sound quality is perfectly adequate with a nice balance, though by no means perfect (I am an audio snob and have Denon headphones for music listening). With drivers from Plantronics they have virtual 7.1 surround that I enjoy in games, it gives you an indication of direction by applying different equalizers to various channels and I find it does help me triangulate sounds in FPS's. They also have a built in mic with a mute switch on the headset that I find I use a lot.

Only cons I can think of are that they do look a little silly and that the felt pads on the earpieces attract a bit of lint.

I have a pair of Bose QuietComfort 15's and if youre looking for noise cancelling, there's nothing better at pretty much any price (they're $300) and they do sound very good. But if you don't need the noise cancelling, there are better options for a lot less money. For $100, I'd really recommend the Audio Tecnica M50. They are way better sounding than the Bose especially with the music i listen to (that plays a part in "what's best"). For less than that, not sure but given how good the M50's are, the M30's are likely to be pretty good too. I just read about good headphones at the $30 range, let me see if I can dig it up...

here they are:

i have no experience, just happened to read it yesterday.
