Hi everyone,
While I play video games, my screen immediately gets messed up: flickering, blurry lines, colors messed up and then blank or a certain color with lines. Sound seems ok and computer is still working. I didn't install anything new and this isn't about a new game, I've been playing it for years. And now it seems it also does the same even when using Google Maps, this is worse than I realized.
My specs:
Intel i5-760 2,8Ghz
8GB RAM DDR3
AMD HD6870 1GB DDR5
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
I updated the drivers and tried playing with lowers resolution but it didn't help. It's just that at the lower resolution, instead of the blur and flickering the screen just shot down to black (sound was still working).
I guess the problem is with the video card. Is there any chance to be a problem with its cooler (maybe too much dust) or its physical setup or something else? I really hope it's not beyond repair, I don't want to change it, though it's 3 years old.
Or maybe it could be the PSU? It's just a cheap 600W PSU I bought fast after my old one (a better quality 550W one burnt). But that wouldn't mean the system would shut down? Or maybe there isn't enough voltage for the graphics card? Please help me.
Thanks in advance.
