Questions about PSU

Hi a little worried!

I got a Persian brand PSU that works with thermaltake, i guess . It almost been a year since that !

But i got some questions

Psu frying my stuff, how likely is that ?

If i get decent crosair psu i should just power it and stop worrying about anything?!?!

My PSU is 100w above my recommend PSU! Its 530w i got 3570k and sapphire 7750 ( know its pretty old ! But dont really have performance issues for now ! First i get a new ssd then psu and then graphics card! And new mobo)

Generally, how much is risk? If that happens what componets are likely to get damaged! My cousin used these PSUs for almost 10 years with no problem!

Also is entetmax good ? I dont really like its look.! It looms cheap!

Also how about crosair?
Is this one good ? (Gtx760 giga + 3570k and stuff... (Guess max is 670watt ) Corsair HX750 80Plus Gold

If i go out of watts, my pc shuts down or burn!!

Sorry for this i got really worried

Generally some info about PSU frying! And am i on risk? Or ota good... Oh and about price. My PSU wasnt really cheap;D it wasnt cheap :D  ,

The reason i bought this is i couldn't find any good brqnd PSU here ! Now i found corsair!

Sorry i was on phone ! If any typos;(

Also scared :o

More about : questions psu

Hello. Yes, I've seen power supplies blowing up and really destroy the entire system. Here is a list of recommended power supplies that you can buy. If your power supply falls into Tier 4 and 5, I would replace them as soon as possible. I would buy Tier 1, but if your have availability issues with them, look into Tier 2. Corsair is a good brand, just don't buy Corsair CX power supplies for stressful applications.

Corsair CX . VS . amd RM all use poor capacitors.

Corsair HX and AX are very good.

but anyway im Upgrading to AX760ti in almost 3 -2 -1 months or 7 days:D  depending on whats gonna happen ! :D

but just to be sure, is 750w enough and crosair AX760i ! im not sure if i can find this ! i may end up buying another Green psu for my later upgrades as i may not find ! my current one has only 1 PCI-E 6pins so if i upgrade i will have some problems ! my current GPU req no PCI-e s

No way a gtx760, mobo, 3570k + all the other components reach 670Watts.. I'm sure it would not even reach above the 550Watts unless you go SLI, so any power supply under 750watts and above 550watts should do the job just fine..

Im running a GTX 780, i5-4670k with all the needed components and I reach 488W (standard)

Seasonic X-650 (ss-650km) 80+ is a good choice, bit more expensive than corsair though.

Here are some good products for the 650W powersupplies -->
http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/power-supply/#sort=d6&e=4...

If you are willing to be future proof, thinking about going SLI later. Then choose a powersupply anywhere above 750W

Thanks really ! But one question here : how is the exact way too see if psu is good? Only knowing psu parts and opening it!? And hx760 and AX760I how much diffrent is it? Also the ax is plantium! What it means exactly!

PSU's are graded with labels: Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum.
The higher the grade, the more efficient your power supply is, meaning it saves energy.

How to see if a psu is good? Opening it? No I wouldn't recommend that unless you know what you're doing.

The way to know if you are buying a good quality psu or not, is simple. Look at the brands / companies, that produce the psu's. As for you (corsair) they have been reliable for the past couple of years, so I have no doubt that you won't buy a faulty psu..

The difference between a AX760(i) and AX760:
The AX760 is manufactured by SeaSonic, while the AX760i is made by Flextronics. (Both good quality)
The (i) stands for corsair link, a software/program to monitor your psu and/or adjust settings (fan).
But yet I wouldnt pay the extra price just for corsair link which you might not even need...

The hx750 is less modular.

That's all
