Well, Both boards are great, But only the Asus comes with one advantage that is worth considering it over the Gigabyte board; If you plan to overclock.

So as a conclusion;
If you plan to do some overclocking and have never done it before or want to continue doing so; Get the VI hero for sure

If you want to do minimal overclocking and just want a better value for money board; get the Gigabyte Board as it will perform exactly the same as the Asus. Motherboards don't tend to make any performance difference whatsoever.
