I am trying to play skyrim pc on my laptop, but it keeps saying "failed to initialize render but not supported by adapter, I have no idea what to do?

Your laptop probably doesn't have a decent graphics chip. Run dxdiag from "Start"->"Run", and see in the video tab. If it says Intel, you are most likely out of luck. But post what the graphics adapter is (for example, AMD/ATi Radeon 7560M, or nVidia 640M, Intel HD 3000, etc)

I have the same problem and I have a standard VGA graphics adapter. This is probably a bad one I guess. Witch one should I have?

Could the 'failed to initialize render' have something to do with the processor?
