From Wikipedia:
LGA 2011, also called Socket R, is a CPU socket by Intel. It replaces Intel's LGA 1366 (Socket B) and LGA 1567 in the performance and high-end desktop and server platforms.[1] The socket has 2011 protruding pins which touch contact points on the underside of the processor.

LGA 1150 is designed as a replacement for the LGA 1155 (known as Socket H2). LGA 1150 has 1150 protruding pins to make contact with the pads on the processor.

Generally speaking, LGA 2011 is more high-end/powerful, while LGA 1150 is for more standard applications. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1707190/lga1150-lga-2011.html

"best" is a relative term, but the most expensive can be found here:

I would personally never spend that much on a motherboard. Typically $300 is the MOST I would EVER spend if it was my own money. :)

LGA1150:

Intel-Core i5 4670K + Asus Maximus VI Hero OR Asus Z87-A OR MSI G45 Gaming OR Asrock Extreme 4 Or Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H (FOR GAMING)

Intel-Core i7 4770K + Asus Maximus VI Formula OR Asus Z87 Sabertooth OR Asus Z87-Pro OR Asus Z87 Deluxe (FOR Video Editing)

Intel-Core i7 4770K + Asus Maximus VI Extreme OR Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5H OR MSI Mpower MAX (If You Have Money to go ultimate

IMO LGA2011 Is not worth it unless you do alot (and I mean ALOT) of video editing or work that requires 6 cores
but if you do:

Intel-Core i7 4930K + Asus Rampage IV Extreme OR Asus P9X79-E-WS

Intel-Core i7 4820K + Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 OR Asrock X79 Extreme 11
