Reinstalling Windows after motherboard upgrade

Hello everyone!

I have recently upgraded the motherboard (and processor) for my computer. As expected, Windows 7 will no longer boot up after doing this.

However, it can boot into the system repair mode. Although, a system repair didn't do anything. (System repair does contain other options, including the command prompt)

I've heard a few ways to get Windows 7 to work. These are the most common I've heard:

Backup files, and do a clean install of Windows
Do a repair install
Do a sysprep

I do have my hard drive backed up right now.

However, I can't find the option for repair install when I put in the reinstallation disc, a clean install would be a major hassle (and I'm not sure if programs will still work if I just copy-paste them from the backup drive), and a sysprep would also be a hassle, since I'd have to take apart my computer again and put the old motherboard back in first (That was my fault for not checking here first...)

Could anyone offer some advice on this?

Thanks
