When I first got my board, plugging in the ethernet cable was a huge deal because my computer would freeze completely and I'd have to hard reset it. Well, a couple of weeks ago, my dad talked me into getting the TP-Link transfer set thing that plugs into the outlet and using the electric cables in the house as a wired signal. Cool, it worked after he set up the drivers for it and what not. Well, I went to turn off my computer for the night and when I woke up the next day, I turned it on and it froze at the "starting windows" screen. I eventually found out that I had to unplug the ethernet cable to fix that.
I plugged it back in for my wired connection and my computer froze, so I pulled the cable out, restarted my computer, and went to reinstall the drivers. I reinstalled everything my dad had installed to get it set up, but the device manager wouldn't recognize any drivers for my ethernet port and I've tried reinstalling the drivers countless times to get it to work.
I was wondering if anyone know how to fix this. I've gone into device manager to get it to automatically install drivers for the web, but it can't seem to find any.

Try removing the motherboard drivers for the internet port. And remove any driver your dad installed. Reboot computer, now install internet driver for your motherboard from the disk it came with or download it from msi's website. See if it works. Then uninstall driver reboot install driver your dad installed and should be good to go.

That is actually what I did do. I did it multiple times. At least to my understanding.
All he installed was the E2000 Killer Networking Manager. I've reinstalled that countless times.

Try seeing if the lights light up around the internet cord when you plug it in...if they don't the port is out. And will have to get new motherboard... or try reinstalling windows and see if it fixes it..
