I have a Viore 40" HDTV mod #LC40VXF60SB and has lost it's color quality, as in dull with yellowish flesh tones. Will a main board help it or is the LCD display simply wore out like the old CRT picture tubes use to where out and lose there color tones.

Does anybody know if LCD displays where out? Thanks.

hey,

i don't think so, it might depend on how old your TV is though, i have a secondary screen on my pc that is an LCD that about 4/5 years old and is almost on for about 8 hours a day and sometimes even more.
the color quality still looks very similar to my 1,5 year old LED screen so i don't think they were out.

I want to thank Skywere for that answer, that's pretty much what I thought. The TV, made for Wallmart in 2009 and a lot of hours on it was given to me with no picture, I put a back light inverter board in it a cost of about $43.00 including shipping I can't complain. The tint option in the menu is not available when in HD, strange. The guy that gave it to me doesn't know is it ever had good color as he is color blind. This is my first thread I hope I'm thanking Skywere in the right place.
