I'm having an issue getting my computer to boot/power to my cpu (I think)

Asus Sabertooth 990fx Motherboard
AMD FX8320 CPU
EVGA 600B PSU

The power supply comes with a 20+4 pin power connector, as well as two 4-pin CPU connectors.
The board has a 24-pin power connector and an 8-pin connector near the top (??)
I had this issue with my last board too but I can't remember the proper configuration.
I've tried multiple configurations and it's possible that I confused myself in the process and missed the right one.

Can anyone shed some light on this or point me in the right direction? It would be much appreciated!

Solution
1 4+4 = 8 for the CPU power

24 pin for the board.

You plug the 4+4 pin into the 8 pin power.

Right, but what is the proper connection when faced with a 4+4 pin and a 20+4 pin for this board? Do I use both 4+4 pins in the 8pin connector or leave one out? Do I use the 20-pin and leave the extra 4-pin unplugged?

Appreciate the speedy response btw.

Hahah.. yeah, I've tried that. Ah man I feel like an idiot. I had the HDD LED and PWR SW connectors backwards. I've been scratching my head for like an hour. Hahaha. Thanks for the help anyway man. Sorry for wasting your time.
