So, I am upgrading my H80 water cooler to a H100i and I was thinking of taking the H80 and adding a peltier to cool the water block and and in turn cool the air blowing through the radiator into the case. Has anyone tried this?

Yeah , the H80 still works and all and you can get a Peltier with heatsink and fan for like $30, so I was thinking why not use the water block in reverse and cool it and then cool the air going into my case. If it has no effect oh well.. :)

The unit I am looking at is said to get to 39 degrees. I am going to run it in a old case for awhile to see what temps I get inside the case. I thought about adding a voltage controller to adjust the temp up a bit.

just using a 12v 5amp laptop charger from ebay and a old volume control for a fan to regulate the voltage so it will not get too cold. Will run it outside the case for a day or 2 to see how it performs. I have not yet done this yet but it is on my list ;)
