Can I run 5 monitors with Dual GTX 780ti ?
As the title states, Im wondering if I can run 5 monitors, ( The Asus VG248QE's, if anyone is wondering) with dual GTX 780ti's. The EVGA Superclocked with ACX coolers to be precise. Any information in this can help ! Thanks ! BTW, the plan is to use all 5 of them for gaming.
You can as said ^ use 3 in Surround mode. But good luck getting a secondary monitor running on Nvidia hardware with out loosing your Surround setup. I have been trying for well over a year to get a 3+1 setup running on Nvidia hardware like I did with my AMD Crossfire setup. No matter how I connect the +1 my Surround setup gets disabled every time. Now on my AMD/ATI rigs CCC lets me pick what monitors are part of the Eyefinity but with Nvidia you have no choose in it the drivers pick the monitors. And that means that if I have my 50" Plasma,my +1 monitor, plugged into the HDMI connector the Nvidia drivers will pick the Plasma as part of the Surround setup everytime instead of the 3 exact same make/model 27" monitors. And the only way to correct it is to not have it plugged in at the time I setup the Surround. OK fine but plugging it in after the Surround is setup with just disable the Surround automatically.
The point of all of this is simple if you want a 3+1 setup you better not go with Nvidia. Sadly Nvidia has made no attempt to correct any of the problems with Surround in over a year. And it does not look like they are going to fix any of the issues any time soon. AMD/ATI's drivers are much better and they allow 3+1 configurations with no problems what so ever.

Well the plan was to have them all up vertically really, like in a 5 by 1 eyefinity setup. I know this can be done with powerful AMD cards, but Im actually planning on building a bad boy with these components for a friend, and he prefers Nvidia.
