100megabit but downloading only with 1mb

hi guys i was wondering why im downloading so slow in utorrent
i have 100mbit/s ethernet but in utorrent
i download with max 900 kb/s one day i was downloading call of duty and what to see i reached 10mbps but it never happened again can you help me to speed up my downloading speed
please !

doesnt matter what your ethernet speed is, it matters what the internet package you have supplies.

^10 Mbps is pretty standard. You'd know if you had 100Mbps, you'd be paying quite a bit for it.

When using torrents, uploader' capacity is also important, so what you see could be quite normal. If there is only one person uploading but ten people downloading from him, the speed will be miserable.
Try to download something off the net without torrent, and see what speed you get. You can also use something like speedtest.net to measure your speed.

Most likely you did it at a time with little backhaul congestion, or you've got a poor quality DSL line and a bad joint improved marginally.

What's the internet connection? DSL, cable, fibre?

If it's DSL, a master splitter might improve any wiring issues and improve it by up to 50%, if it's really bad. Do you know how far you are from the exchange or cabinet?

If it's cable or fibre, about the only thing you can do is buy a faster plan.

First, you are confusing things. Your speed test shows 10mb/s, and you said utorrent showed 900kb. utorrent shows speeds in kB, not kb. The 10mb/s speed test in kB is 1000 kB/s. If utorrent is getting 900kB and your speedtest shows 1000kB, then you're on targer.

Second, as I said, you 100mb ethernet connection has nothing to do with it. It whats speed you pay for from your internet provider but you don't want to tell us that for some reason.

But from the speedtest and utorrent results, your on mark.
