Novice gforce replacement confused

Greeting all.
I am a novice pc user.
Recently i had to get a new graphics card for my pc.

my old graphics card was geforce 545 part no ENGT545/D1/3GD/DP

It has been replaced with a geforce GT630 2Gb

I would ask you if in fact i have been up ...or down graded.

I think you have been downgraded. From what I can find, the GT630 is a rebranded GTX440 while the GTX545 is an OEM card thats a bit slower than a 550Ti.
For gaming performance, your old card will have done better.

The GT 630 is a downgrade from the GT 545.

Thanks for the replies guys,

I shall be returning said item back.

So,my question now please is.

Any advise on the best option upgrade,or a few choices for my pc.

It has a 350watt PSU.

I would get a GTX750 if I were you. It only requires a 300 watt PSU to work.

I agree the GTX 750 is a good choice. The other choice is a R7-240 , but that is questionable with a 350 watt PSU.

On a side note,
I have started looking for the gtx750, there seems to be a few options of that card
i.e 1Gb - 2Gb

Does it matter guys?

Go for the 2GB, playing at 1080p there will be a difference between 1 and 2GB.

Am I reading the wrong info,as I would get this one.

Whats the 12v rail on your PSU have in terms of Amperage? There should be a sticker on the side of it that says.

It uses 55 watts of power, your 545 used 70 watts.

If you could run a 545 off of it, you can run a 750.

I would replace the PSU, its pretty weak and it looks to be a cheap generic unit. If your going to lay down cash on a good GPU, I would get a PSu you can trust not to kill the thing.
Besides, it doesn't have any power connectors to hook up a graphics card.
