i have amd fx 6300 processor, 8 gb 1600mhz corsair xmp ram, msi motherboard 970a g46, and cooler master thunder 500 watt... will sapphire r9 270x toxic edition 2 gb support this system????
For a system using a single AMD Reference Design Radeon R9 270X graphics card AMD specifies a minimum of a 500 Watt or greater system power supply. The power supply should also have a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 30 Amps or greater and have at least two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.
Cooler master thunder 500 have 2 12volt combined power of 45 AMP.
For graphics card compatability in terms of hardware, all you need is an open PCIe slot and sufficient power connectors. You could run a 780Ti on a Pentium4 DDR2 machine if you fit those requirements, if all you cared about is that it "works".
