Geforce 8600 issue

i Have the following adapter information:

Intel (R) HD graphics 4000
Bios Information
Total available Graphic memory: 1792mb
Dedication video memory: 32mb
System video memory: 0mb
Share system memory: 1760mb.

And i want to upgrade to Geforce 8600 which is compatible with my windows 8.1 system and i have already download the upgrade.

what effect will the update have on ma current adapter information? Hope it wont affect anything on ma system?

Will the upgrade allow some games like assasin creed black flag which is very slow on ma system to be fast?

Help!!!!!

It all depends on how much you have to spend, I know you said you don't know how much it'll cost.

Something like a PC i3 3220 or 4130 + HD7790 would be fine, these are usually not too expensive parts but can enjoy games at medium settings.

How much are you willing to spend on a PC and do you know any nigerian PC retailers? If so I'll have a look and reply.

Yeah thx is the driver, my system spec is:

Processor: Intel(R) core(Tm)i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz
RAM: 4.00GB (3.87GB usable)
system type: 64bit OS, x64-based processor.

will my assasin creed black flag will be fast after installing the driver cos its very slow

By the way how much are you getting this card for, like what's your budget for GPU? I dnt seem to understand u cos i downloaded the driver and its like 2.19mb

Uhm...you've just downloaded the driver.

You need to BUY/INSTALL a new GPU(physical card) to your PC to get a performance boost.

By downloading a driver and not installing the card you've basically just bought petrol without a car to put the petrol into.

okay, which site can i get it or may be in any nigerian market cos i need to play games on ma system. Besides, hope installing the Geforce increases my adapter information?

You can't upgrade to the geforce because you can't physically put the graphics card inside your laptop.

It may be posible to get the 8600m but that's going to be hard to find and probably won't fit in your laptop case either.

Bottom line is laptops are not very upgradeable at all and most aren't built for gaming, If you want to game/upgrade you need a full PC.

Sorry, I couldn't find any either. There's a list on tomshardware for PC/Pc part websites around the world but none for nigeria.

I'd say go talk to your local PC shop, ask them if they've got about the PC's and what Graphics Cards they can offer you.

Something like a HD 7770 would be good for you but HD 6770 is also probably fine.

If you buy a PC make sure it has a good gaming graphics card in it

Ignore any with GT 610,620,630 or 640 and HD 5450/6450

At the worst get one with a HD 6670 basically, Have a look at what they've got and if they've got any with DEDICATED graphics(Dedicated means with a card rather than using an inbuilt chip)
