Hi guys, I tried searching this up but it haven't found any solutions that work yet, so I figure I'd ask here myself and hope you guys could help me. My problem is as follow:
My computer (built about 5 weeks ago) has been restarting itself all day today. This is a weird problem since it really only began doing it today. The only thing notable that I did other than my usual routine on the computer today was that I went into ASUS's graphics tweak program and decided to bump up the GPU boost clock by about 50MHz from the default to see what would happen. From then on the random restarts keep happening whenever I try to play a game. I figured it must be because I messed with the GPU settings so after the computer restarted itself a few times I checked the GPU program again and saw that the clock speed was back to it's default value. But the random restarts haven't stopped. And the pc only restarts whenever I try to play games, I can surf the webs and watch videos just find but try to play a game and boom--restart. The restarts aren't really anything I've seen before, in that the computer doesn't fully shut down, all lights off, all power off, then starts back up. The restarts I've been seeing is just the computer giving me a blue screen, then with all its lights still on go back to the windows 8.1 start screen. If you guys can help me figure out the problem it'd be greatly appreciated as this has been driving me crazy all night. Thanks!
