hi there, i've a quick question about my psu : http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/v-series-psu/v1000/

before i get a new one, i'd like to know if
it can handle 2 x gtx 780 + 1 gtx 760 ???

the cards are not going to be in SLI, i'll need the 760 as system card/editing and the 2 780's for rendering only; so, in theory while the 2 big ones are rendering the small one will be sit doing nothing, but in a real case scenario where i have all the cards at "full throttle" my psu will be enough to feed 'em all?

i've been trying some online PC power consumption calculator and the results i get are all around the 850/880 w, but honestly i don't know if those applications are accurate or not, so i'm asking to the experts :)

thanks in advance.

You still won't go over 850w since all three cards aren't going to be in full load at the same time. I would say 850w could do it, but that might be pushing it a bit, so I am going to recommend 1000w. With all the money going into gpu, it's better to play it safe.

thanks for the quick reply guys!

@verma1891 : yes, sli disabled, i'm going to run a 760 as main video card and the 780's as render slaves so to speak, i'm going to use this rig for octane

@ak47jar3d yes they are not supposed to go full load all together, but i was considering the worst case scenario, in case i have some peak or something
